Coverage

One gallon is enough material to apply two coats over 60-65 square feet (120-130 square feet for one coat). Two coats are recommended for optimum performance and warranty purposes.

Surface Preparation

EPDM and TPO Rubber Membrane Roof:

When coating EPDM Rubber Roofs it is extremely important to remove all dust, dirt and embedded clay, mica and other release agents to assure proper adhesion. Make all necessary repairs to surface as needed. Repair or replace damaged EPDM roof materials as needed. Duck Coat 100% Acrylic White Elastomeric Roof Coating must be preceded with an application of RV DUCK COAT EPDM & TPO Rubber Roof Cleaner & Activator. White Elastomeric Roof Coating Must Be Applied on the same day as the Rubber Roof Cleaner and Activator.

Fiberglass Roof Surfaces:

Remove all dirt, oil, rust, loose paint and coatings and heavy debris. Use RV DUCK COAT SPRAYABLE ROOF CLEANER to clean roof prior to applying White Acrylic Elastomeric Roof Coating. Wet out roof surface with Sprayable Roof Cleaner and scrub with a stiff bristle brush. Thoroughly rinse roof surface. Slightly roughen fiberglass surface with fine sand paper to assure adhesion of coating. Wash sanding residue from surface with another application of sprayable roof cleaner. Allow surface to completely dry prior to applying patch materials or coatings. Make repairs as necessary with RV Duck Patch 100% Acrylic White Elastomeric RV Roof Patch or other suitable material.

Metal, Aluminum, Asphalt, Wood Roof Surfaces:

Remove all dirt, oil, rust, loose paint and coatings and heavy debris. Use RV DUCK COAT SPRAYABLE ROOF CLEANER to clean roof prior to applying White Acrylic Elastomeric Roof Coating.

PATCHING & REPAIR

Make repairs as necessary with RV Duck Patch 100% Acrylic White Elastomeric RV Roof Patch or other suitable patch material. Apply patch material to fasteners; around base of vents, air conditioners, sky lights, and other roof protrusions; splits, seams, cracks, joints and other areas susceptible to leaks.

Application of Coating

Stir pail thoroughly. Apply material with either a soft brush, a ¾” nap paint roller, or an airless sprayer. Apply a minimum of two coats at a rate of 120-130 square feet per gallon per coat. Allow material to completely dry between coats.
